Nice Round with my Brother this Weekend

I went to my brother's country club and played this weekend. We had a great time and the place was beautiful.

As much as I poke fun at him for being a "fancy boy" it is really nice to be on an uncrowded course for a change.

Maybe after I win the lottery, I'll join one of those clubs.

Looking for a New Driver

I finally got my new set of irons (Thanks for the user suggestion) and I'm really loving them. Now I need to start looking for a replacement for my old Titleist driver.

I'm looking for a new titanium driver with a head that's bigger than mine. I like the Nike and TaylorMade stuff a lot. I think I'll have to go to the range and hit a bunch of balls with each.

Any way, if you have any thoughts or suggestions, drop a line in the comments.

P.S. I'm getting out this weekend with my brother on his "fancy private" course. I'll have to remember to bring the Grey Poupon mustard.

Shopping for New Clubs

Image by Bree Bailey via FlickrI have had my clubs (TaylorMade) for several years now. Don't get me wrong, I like them, it's just that I think I want to upgrade to some newer equipment. I've looked around at a lot of clubs and I think that I'm probably going to go with a set of Callaway irons.

I would like to buy a new set, but they're pretty expensive. I'm scouring the web for a bargain on some lightly used Callaway irons. If anyone knows of someplace that sells discounted used Callaway clubs, throw it up in the comments.

Played a Great Round at the County Course

Perfect Weather, Great Day on the Links
It was sunny, and beautiful out, so I took the afternoon off and got in a wonderful round. I went out to the local county course and walked on.

Before I get too far into it, let me just say that I didn't shoot great or anything, but the fact that I played in this beautiful weather made it a "Great Round".

I shot in the high 90's, but I still couldn't stop thinking of how good it felt to be out from behind my desk and on the course. I met a few cool guys in my group who also ducked out a little early. Go figure?

Any way, I have a bunch of vacation days left this year and I want to do a little more of this type of thing.

Went Golfing Today

I had a great round of golf down at the local county course. I was driving great and I only missed a few short puts.

My golf equipment is getting a little old and I am thinking about replacing it.
